Jon Grad joined Green Ash in June 2026 as the portfolio manager of the Green Ash – Komo Financial Disruption Fund. Jon started the fund as a concentrated public equity investment strategy focused on the transformation of the financial services sector. The fund looks for long-duration, highly profitable, growth companies that are disrupting legacy incumbents through technology, including AI. Financial disruption is one of the very best sectors for long-term growth due to large end markets that remain dominated by slow-moving incumbents while compliance and regulatory requirements provide wide moats favouring the leading innovators in which we invest.

Prior to joining Green Ash he was most recently a founding partner and the Head of Research at Marcho Partners, a London-based tech investment firm. He started his career in private equity at Morgan Stanley and KKR. He subsequently spent 10+ years developing deep financial industry expertise as a private equity investor, first at Golden Gate Capital, where he built the financial services practice, then at Parthenon Capital, where he was a partner, focusing on financial services and technology investments. Jon also has entrepreneurial and operating experience having bought and run Jet Stream Networks, a California-based security software business. He currently sits on the board of the Tate Foundation in London. He is a graduate of Princeton University (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
